The primary goal of a Drug and Alcohol Assessment is to evaluate the needs of our clients and assist them in reinstating their driver's license, which may have been revoked or suspended. Our State Licensed and Certified counselors ensure that every client undergoes a thorough assessment and receives the most appropriate level of care tailored to their unique circumstances.
An ADSAC (Alcohol and Drug Substance Abuse Class) assessment typically takes up to 2 hours to complete, though the exact length can vary depending on a few factors. One of the key factors is the individual's ability to read and comprehend the questions asked during the assessment. For those who may struggle with reading or understanding the questions, the assessment might take longer as additional clarification or assistance may be needed.
Another important factor is the individual's honesty during the assessment. The more open and honest someone is about their substance use history, the more straightforward the process will be. If someone is less forthcoming or avoids certain questions, it may take additional time to discuss and explore these issues in more depth to ensure a thorough understanding of their situation.

If you do not start any class or follow through with a recommendation from your assessment within 6 months of the assessment date, you will be required to complete a new assessment, as the previous one will be considered expired.
An ADSAC assessment includes a biopsychosocial evaluation, an online assessment consisting of approximately 130 questions, and any additional assessments as needed based on individual circumstances. Initial paperwork can be completed online or in person, depending on what is most convenient for you. All paperwork will be reviewed during the 2-hour session to ensure a thorough and fair assessment.
